The 4th Industrial Revolution and future working conditions – cancelled

The new (4th) industrial revolution –with its marked advances in digitalisation, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI)- is already disrupting the world of work and society at large.

The rapid pace of technological change triggers the need to reassess the fundamental nature of work in a climate of ongoing economic stagnation and decoupling between growth and real wages. Academic experts, international organisations, industry, trade unions and NGOs will be invited to examine how governments, businesses and civil society can work together to develop a responsible approach to governing the impact of technology on jobs.

The event will focus both on the quantity as well as the quality of work (working conditions, autonomy versus precarious jobs).
