APPEAL - GAZA WAR: AND NOW?

Francis WURTZ, President of the European United Left/Nordic Green Left parliamentary group (France), Luisa MORGANTINI, Vice-President of the EP (Italy), Kyriacos TRIANTAPHILLIDES, President of the EP Permanent Delegation for relations with the Palestinian Legislative Council (Cyprus), are launching an appeal to European and national members of parliament with a view to requesting all European Union governments to speak out in favour of the suspension of the European Union-Israel Association Agreement (on the basis of article 2 of this Agreement demanding the respect of human rights by all contracting parties) as well as the freezing of the process of "upgrading" relations of cooperation for as long as this country does not comply with international as well as humanitarian law or that it does not accept the resumption of peace negotiations with the Palestinians on the basis of the relevant United Nations resolutions.
