15. 00 - 15.15:  Opening

15.15 - 16.45: The impact of international trade agreements on online services

▪      in the perspective of International Trade agreements, it is essential to raise awareness on the impact of online services, the so-called “gig economy” on workers' rights.

16.45 - 17.15:  Labour and Social aspects of the “Digitalworkforce”

The "gig economy "companies some of the biggest essentially ad hoc delivery services, employ bicycle, motorbike and scooter riders as contractors, usually paying them a set rate per delivery, rather than by the hour. Trade unions and workers object to this arrangement as the companies usually do not provide paid sick leave or holidays, or help with medical bills in the event of an on-the-job injury.  These companies are not there to create a service but a servitude. It's time to change the rules and create safe, fair, secure jobs for delivery workers.

17.15–18.00:   Q&A and Discussions

18.00-18.30   Conclusion
