Vanessa Viera, president of TEJE and spokesperson of the action
On the 20th of November, a list of 17306 people who died trying to enter "Fortress Europe" will be presented at the European Parliament.
This list, 100 meters long, will be deployed at 3pm in front of the European Parliament, with a human chain of citizens between the "Droits de l'Homme" and the "Parlement européen" tram stops in Strasbourg to help human rights enter the European Parliament and become the core of its migration policy. Homage will be paid to all victims of EU migratory policy with the launch of small boats on the River L'ill.
This action is carried out by NGOs and migrant's organizations in Strasbourg, with the support of MEP Marie-Christine Vergiat, MEP Cornelia Ernst and MEP Jürgen Klute.
